Chelsea's New Stadium Is Being Delayed Due To A Batshit Reason

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------                                                                                                                                                                   Chelsea's new £500m stadium, to be built on the site as Stamford Bridge, is facing delays in receiving approval due to not only issues surrounding the protection of Brompton cemetery, next door but also because a ton of bats live in the cemeteries catacombs.
Hammersmith and Fulham Council now have to take into consideration how the artificial light from Chelsea's new stadium will affect the hibernation of the bats in the western catacombs.
Stamford Bridge
A statement from the council read, "Little information is provided on the impacts of artificial lighting on bats and how this will be reduced by detailed lighting design."
Various other forms of wildlife call the cemetery their home, but bats are the biggest animal attraction, with many tours taking place there.

Jay Rodriguez Is Finally About To Reignite His Career With Move

At one point in his career, he was banging them in for fun with Premier League side Southampton but after a string of injuries, Jay Rogriguez has struggled to even make the first-team squad never mind the starting XI.
Despite his injury woes, Rodriguez's career could be about to take a turn for the better after West Brom look favourites to sign Rogriguez on loan, after manager Tony Pulis revealed that he wants to bring in five summer signings before the window closes.
West Brom pulled out of a record £15million move for West Ham's Diafra Sakho because of concerns over his fitness, but Rodriguez would certainly be a good signing for the Baggies.
Rodriguez made just 10 appearances for the Saints last season, scoring three times but before his injury woes, the 27-year-old was prolific at St Mary's.
Surely West Brom fans would be happy with the capture of Jay Rodriguez?

Gerard Pique Trolls Real Madrid in His Latest Twitter Q&A

When you think of Twitter Q&A's, Gerard Pique immediately springs to mind. - and maybe Jack Wilshere (for all the wrong reasons) but the Barcelona centre-back is infamous for his no holds barred approach to the general public's queries.
If you want an honest answer, Gerard is your man and his latest brash comment about Real Madrid has caused quite a stir online.
We all know Pique loves to joke about Barcelona's bitter rivals Real Madrid, so when someone asked "what kind of draw do you want in this year's Champions League", he just HAD to mention Zinedine Zidane's side in his answer.
Pique
The Spaniard cited Madrid's 'easy' Champions League run to the final last season as his ideal draw.
Pique: "An easy group stage, Italy's 3rd in the round of 16 (Roma), Germany's 8th in the quarters (Wolfsburg), England's 4th in semis (Manchester City) and the return leg always at home."

Henrikh Mkhitaryan Approves Of Manchester United Fans' Chant For Him

He's only been at the club for all of five minutes, but Manchester United fans already have a catchy new chant for Henrikh Mkhitaryan. And that's despite not starting a game yet, to the detriment of my fantasy football team.
The midfielder arrived in the summer from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth around £26 million, and despite still waiting to make his competitive debut at United, the 27-year-old already seems popular amongst the Old Trafford faithful, many of whom have been showing off their new ditty:
In case you're struggling to make out the lyrics (we were at first, too), the tune goes:
Whoa-oh... Mkhitaryan,
Henrikh Mkhitaryan,
He's our midfield Armenian.
It might not look or sound like much written down, but it definitely has a catchy fell to it.
So much so, the man himself has liked it on Twitter:
Henrk
Now, that's a pretty big ringing endorsement, we're sure you'll agree.
We fully expect this to be booming out across most stadiums United are playing at this season - you better start playing him, Jose!
