------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Real Madrid have agreed to double manager Zinedine Zidane's wages, after agreeing a new contract with the Frenchman.
The 44-year-old will now earn £90,000 a week, or 2.7m Euros a year, as he looks set to guide the Spanish giants into the new season.
The deal means Zidane is no longer the lowest-paid manager in Europe, after earning a modest £44,000 per week last season.
The former Madrid star was drafted in last season to save the club from financial turmoil after Rafael Benitez left, but since winning the club's second Champions League crown in three years last season, the manager has now agreed a new deal.
